Mission, SD April 23, 2013--- The Tiwahe Glu Kinipi program and award-winning Lakota Hip Hop collective Nake Nula Waun are proud to announce a homecoming performance on the Rosebud Reservation for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month. The concert will be held at the Sinte Gleska Multi Purpose Building on May 23, 2013 at 7pm. This concert will be the capstone event concluding the month-long activities held by the Tiwahe Glu Kinipi program to honor Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
Nake Nula Waun started their journey as a group three years ago performing at suicide prevention events on the Rosebud Reservation and have since gone on to win multiple national music awards and perform all across the country. This will be Nake Nula Waun’s first time performing at home since winning the 2012 Native American Music Award for Song/Single of the Year. At this concert, Nake Nula Waun will perform brand new songs and discuss healthy lifestyle choices with the youth.
Come join us, as we celebrate a healthy lifestyle and connection to our culture in honor of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month. The concert is free for all. Nake Nula Waun takes the stage at 7pm promptly. For more information or questions contact Keith Braveheart at Tiwahe Glu Kinipi.
